With an impressive victory by Daniel Deusser on the Belgian-bred chestnut stallion Tobago Z, the Rolex Grand Slam of the Dutch Masters in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, came to an end on Sunday, 13 March 2022. The first CSI 5* 1.60m Rolex Grand Prix of this year, which offered total prize money of €700,000. Out of the 12 top-class pairs that had reached the jump-off, Daniel Deusser achieved the best time in ideal fashion and with outstanding reliability with the stallion Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z, thus securing victory ahead of Harry Smolders with the Holsteiner Monaco by Cassini II family 429, breeder Ralf Lütje, Haseldorf.

Back from the competitions in January and February in sunny Wellington, where Tobago Z had already impressed with a Grand Prix victory and top placings, he proved his first-class form by placing 2nd in Friday's opening jumping class behind Martin Fuchs with The Sinner. With €231,000 in prize money for winning the Rolex Grand Prix, Tobago Z was able to increase his lifetime earnings to over €2 million, and he brought his rider an additional bonus of €250,000. This was awarded to the rider who wins a Rolex Grand Prix twice within one cycle. Deusser had won his first victory with the Grand Prix in Aachen last year with the mare Killer Queen.

Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z, born in 2008, registered in the Zangersheide studbook, by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve - Mr. Blue - Feinschnitt - Furioso Z was approved for Holstein as an experimental breeding stallion following his great successes in the 2009 competition year, where he finished 3rd in the Grand Prix of Aachen and third in the WBFSH ranking.
