Press release from the Dirk Ahlmann stallion station
Last weekend, this year's state championship took place in Elmshorn. In optimum weather and a magnificent setting, Holstein's best young horses presented themselves.
On Friday, our station stallion Coquetto (breeder: Witt Pferdezucht), owned by Dr. Peter Schütte, was the first to compete in the 7-year-old class. As sovereign as ever, he jumped his way into the final in his customary convincing manner, securing 3rd place. Following another clear round in the normal course, Coquetto finished the jump-off under Hannes as the celebrated reserve state champion!
Furthermore, the finalists in the 7-year-old class included several highly talented offspring of our Cascadello I, such as Con Aperol (breeder: Reimer Hennings) ridden by Miriam Schneider and Jella BB (breeder: Manfred Birchler) presented by Cassandra Orschel. In the final of the 6-year-old show jumpers, the starting field was dominated by the number of offspring sired by our station stallions. A total of 9 top-talented offspring of our stallions jumped into the demanding final round for the 6-year-olds, 5 of which placed. Leading the way as reserve state champion was Charly de Luxe 4 (breeder: Gisela Jahns) ridden by Philipp Schöllhorn, a descendant of our Charleston, who also sired another daughter, Kasuarina HHL (breeder: Reimer Hennings), presented by Philipp Battermann, among the top 10 placed horses. 5 daughters and sons of our Cascadello I were represented in the 6-year-old final. Among them in 6th place was Cosimo (breeder: Peter Böge), owned by Gestüt Fohlenhof, which was brilliantly presented by our Pheline. Cece la vie (breeder: H.-P. Löding-Hasenkamp) also placed under Cassandra Orschel. Great rounds were also put in by Casanderos (breeder: Dr. Hartmut Bruns) with Hannes, Cassiopeia (breeder: Peter Böge) also with Pheline, and the mare Keks J (breeder: ZG Raufeisen u. Jessen) ridden by Louise Heidrich. In the end, just a fraction of luck was missing for a placing here.
Another descendant of our Charleston gave an impressive performance in the 4-year-old show jumping class. The Maas J. Hell station stallion Chavaros II (breeder: Reimer Hennings) ridden by Philip Schulze jumped 2 fantastic rounds and finished the final in 5th place.
