The Maas J. Hell station is postponing its open day scheduled for 12 April. This decision is due to the situation regarding equine herpesvirus (EHV) outbreaks in stables in Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony, which has not yet fully settled. "Postponed is not cancelled," promise Herbert Ulonska and Jasmin Ulonska-Weiss.
However, given the current circumstances, the core idea of the event—to experience stallions and sport horses up close in the stable, during saddling, warm-up, and training, as well as seeing them presented on the hard trot-up surface—cannot be implemented with a clear conscience. Insights into working methods, personal impressions of the horses in various situations, and the opportunity for discussion are now to be made possible at a later date.
“We are truly grateful that our stock is not affected and are doing everything we can to ensure it stays that way,” says Herbert Ulonska. In connection with the highly infectious herpesvirus, the best way to achieve this is by avoiding contact. Therefore, the station's open day featuring a hard surface presentation, training impressions, and a chat will be made up for at a later date.
