Press release from the Maas J. Hell Stud Farm
7 December is Stallion Day at the Maas J. Hell Stallion Station. From 5 pm, the station will be showcasing its gallery of sires for future generations of horses. The Advent stallion presentation on Saturday will be preceded by a free-jumping competition on 6 December.
The December event at the Hell Station in Klein Offenseth is always a meeting point for anyone wishing to get a first-hand impression of the development of the younger stallions before the start of the breeding season. In particular, the State Champion of the five-year-old show jumpers, Chavaros II by Charleston-Con Air, the four-year-old Diacont by Diamant de Semilly-Contender and the three-year-old Coccianto by Christian-Diamant de Semilly will be the centre of attention. In early summer, the KWPN stallion It’s Otto by Etoulon VDL-Coronino – a likeable, athletic-looking chestnut – also moved into a box in the stallion stable. On 7 December, the stud will present and discuss the stallions – ranging from the youngest, such as the picture-perfect pony stallion Dusty Gold by Reitland’s Diamond Gold – Cosmopolitan D – to the older stud stallions.
Afterwards, the pre-Christmas get-together in the heated indoor riding arena will be rounded off with light refreshments and plenty of chat and discussion, to which all visitors are invited.
New: Free-jumping competition for three- and four-year-old horses
The stallion presentation will be preceded on 6 December from 3 pm by a free-jumping competition for three- and four-year-old horses in the indoor arena at the Maas J. Hell Stallion Station. Horses sired by all FN-recognised stallions are eligible to enter. With this, Herbert Ulonska and his daughter Jasmin Ulonska-Weiss are bringing to life an idea and a wish expressed by breeders who wish to present their young horses in competition at the end of their third and fourth years. Judging will be carried out separately by age group. The detailed competition notice is available on the website www.stallhell.de and will also be sent to the German horse breeding associations.
