(Klein Offenseth) It is a highlight of the equestrian calendar: The Foal Championship organised by the Maas J. Hell Stud in Klein Offenseth, together with the registration and show for the Holsteiner Verband’s Pinneberg licensing district, will take place on 2 August from around 3 pm on the stud’s premises at Horster Landstraße 42. Foals born in 2021 and their dams are expected to attend the championship and registration.
What makes this event special is that the Maas J. Hell Stud’s Foal Championship is open to foals sired by all recognised stallions. Pure Holstein pedigree is therefore not a mandatory requirement. As a result, 28 entries have already been received for 13 colts and 15 fillies; 19 of these are by stallions from the Maas J. Hell Stud, with ten foals alone sired by Central Park, a son of Casall. The Hell-bred stallion Central Park also recently sired the winning colt at the Schleswig-Flensburg licensing championship. However, offspring of Lentini, Acodetto, Colcannon, Casselot and other stallions from the station are also among the championship contenders. The championship candidates will be assessed by a panel and ranked separately for fillies and colts. Valuable prizes await the breeders of the winning and placed foals.
In addition, as it does every year, the Maas J. Hell stud farm is hosting the foal registration organised by the Holsteiner Verband. The focus here is exclusively on foals whose dams and sires bear the Holsteiner brand or hold breeding approval. The event will be livestreamed by Clipmyhorse.tv, and exhibitors will receive a complimentary voucher from the livestreaming service provider so that they too can watch their foal’s big moment in Klein Offenseth again afterwards.
Guests are warmly welcome to attend the Foal Championship at the Maas J. Hell Stud and will be admitted in accordance with the current COVID-19 regulations.
