The Carthago-Lord son Colman (bred by Klaus Meyn, Wesseln), born in 1996, stem 223B, has died. The grey stallion can look back on almost 1,000 offspring registered with the FN for sports, more than 160 of which have achieved success in advanced (S) show jumping. According to Horsetelex, he sired 50 1.60m show jumpers. Among them, for example, L.B. Convall (ridden by Philipp Weishaupt/GER), Catwalk IV (Robert Whitaker/GBR) and Contagio (Gerrit Nieberg/GER).

Yesterday morning we had to say goodbye to our Colman. For a quarter of a century, Colman was a part of the Völz family, and it was so hard for us to let him go. We feel an indescribable gratitude for having had him as a companion for so long. He brought breeding happiness to countless breeders. He provided countless riders with successful horses. His offspring impressed in the most difficult show jumping classes in the world, yet he was equally a loyal companion to many horse lovers. As a sire, he became a legend during his lifetime; as a personality, he was very special.
