Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH is pleased to announce the addition of two new stallions to its stud: from this breeding season onwards, the four-year-old Elmacho by Eldorado van de Zeshoek and the three-year-old Karlo de Kalvarie by Kassander van’t Roosakker will be available for stud services.
Elmacho by Eldorado van de Zeshoek – Nonstop – Capitol I
This four-year-old stallion impresses not only with his international pedigree but also with his Holsteiner performance genes. With his exceptional ability, his attitude and his outstanding awareness over jumps, he demonstrates outstanding qualities as a sport horse. Likewise, his good rideability and canter make him a joy to work with on a daily basis.
Sire
Under Willem Greve (NED), Eldorado van de Zeshoek impressed across the board in top-level international show jumping and Nations Cups. As a sire, Eldorado also has a reputation as a top-class stud. His best-known offspring include Killer Queen, Jella van’t Kathoof, Joli Jumper, Elektric Blue and Grandorado TN, all of whom have proven themselves on the international stage, right up to championship level.
Dam line
Elmacho’s dam, Marjanneke DW, is a daughter of Nonstop, who traces back to the Holstein mare line 162. At the age of six, he was crowned Belgian Champion and was introduced to international competition by Nelson and Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA). His most successful offspring include Ulysse (Pius Schwizer/SUI; Philippe Le Jeune/BEL), Abbervail van het Dingeshof (Denis Lynch/IRL), Vangelis S (Robert Smith/GBR) and Amai (Michael Whitaker/GBR). Marjanneke’s full sister, Dassina VA, placed in international show jumping competitions up to 1.50 metres under Emmanuel Bertho (FRA). Elmacho’s granddam, N-Cassina, is none other than the full sister to Cassini I, who herself produced numerous international competition horses. When paired with Quidam de Revel, she produced Quintago I (1.60m), Quintago VA (1.55m), Chip VA (1.50m) and BB Quiberon (1.40m). In total, N-Cassina has 13 offspring with successes at advanced level. The third dam, Wisma, is one of the most successful mares of all time and a true flagship of Holsteiner breeding. With Cassini I, Cassini II, Clarimo, RF Easy Going and Larinjo II, amongst others, she demonstrates her breeding value in an impressive manner. The Claussen family from Neuenkirchen is behind the success of the Holsteiner mare line 3389: they bred the mare Wisma and, before her, her dam Prisma.

Karlo de Kalvarie by Kassander van’t Roosakker – Sea Coast Don’t Touch Tiji Hero – Zandor Z
With this young stallion, Holsteiner breeders have a stallion of international calibre at their disposal. He combines sport genes that are in high demand worldwide with the sought-after Holsteiner bloodline in a unique way. This typically strong chestnut stallion impresses with good basic gaits and excellent balance, particularly at a canter. He possesses quick reflexes and ability over jumps, as well as a commanding presence thanks to his type and charisma.
His sire
,
Kassander van’t Roosakker, was himself successful in show jumping up to 1.40 metres under Gregory Whatelet (BEL) and has produced impressive offspring such as Picobello van’t Roosakker (Steve Guerdat/SUI), King of Panama Hero (Alexander Housen/BEL) and Quattro de Kalvarie (Niels Bruynseels/BEL). Kassander van’t Roosakker’s dam line is impressive. The proportion of top international show jumpers is exceptionally high, which is reflected in the global demand for ‘Roosakker blood’. His dam, Electra van’t Roosakker, was herself successful in show jumping up to 1.60 metres under Janika Sprunger (SUI) and Jos Lansink (BEL), and produced a number of internationally placed sport horses, such as Kaprice under the American Kent Farrington (1.60m) or Horpleasure van’t Roosakker with Manon Hebette, riding for Algeria (1.60m). Electra van’t Roosakker is the granddaughter of one of the world’s most famous broodmares, Usha van’t Roosakker by Chin Chin.
Dam line
Karlo’s dam, Qiara de Kalvarie, is a daughter of the Holstein stallion Sea Coast Don’t Touch Tiji Hero and was herself successful in show jumping up to 1.30 metres under Lars Demeersman (BEL). She is the full sister of the licensed stallion Dourkhan Hero Z, who excelled in 1.45-metre classes under Christian Ahlmann (GER) and has already delivered impressive performances over the course. The third dam, Inka van’t Roosakker by Calvaro, also produced Zarkava Hero Z, a 1.60-metre show jumper ridden by the Dutch rider Johnny Pals, as well as producing other sought-after sport horses such as Leonardo van’t Roosakker (1.50m) and Novak de Kalvarie (1.45m). The fourth dam, in turn, is the dam of Electra van’t Roosakker (1.60m), Falco van’t Roosakker (1.60m) and MoM’s Gatoucha van’t Roosakker (1.50m).
Karlo de Kalvarie offers Holstein breeders a sought-after, high-performing pedigree with a strong link to Holstein genetics. Karlo’s pedigree is doubly secured through targeted inbreeding to the mare Usha van’t Roosakker on both the sire’s and dam’s sides.
