A crowd-puller on 1 May: the presentation of the association’s young stallions ...

"That was a very successful event that gave breeders valuable information to take with them," judged derby winner and commentator Nisse Lüneburg following the presentation of the young Verband stallions in Elmshorn. 16 youngsters aged three to seven presented themselves on 1 May in the outdoor arena of the Verband grounds in Elmshorn.

Around 300 spectators were on site to get an impression of the younger stallions, inspect some of their foals and see the sires up close in the stable. Participating were the three-year-olds – Deichkind by Don VHP Z, Union City by United Way as well as Vidalgo by Holstein – which are now entering stud service after successfully completing their performance test. The new additions to the Elmshorn stallion station presented themselves confidently in the basic gaits on the outdoor footing. And the four- to seven-year-olds, which could be seen in the course in accordance with their age and training level, also demonstrated their potential at the jump with high concentration. These were, for example, the horses born in 2018 Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles and Daikon by Dominator Z or the year older Million’s Way by Million Dollar, Charaktervoll by Comme il faut, Cardentos by Cardento, Dubliner by Dinken and Cahil by Cornet Obolensky. Seven-year-old and ready for the youngster tour are Chezarro by Casall, Corfu de la Vie by Cumano and Keaton by Kannan. Fidano by Fidertanz placed at the Federal Championships for five-year-old dressage horses last year and is starting the competition season even more mature. "There were some highlights to be seen among the stallions, whose future as sires and athletes I am very excited about," Nisse Lüneburg summarized his impressions. And managing director Sebastian Rohde also drew a positive conclusion about the event: "I am very pleased about the enormous response from so many spectators and would like to sincerely thank my team, who presented the stallions in very good form against this backdrop."
