In preparation for the European Championships in Milan (ITA) at the end of August, Zuccero by Zirocco Blue and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson competed in an S** two-phase show jumping competition at the competition in Schnarup-Thumby.

Following their nomination for the European Championships by the Swedish Equestrian Federation (Svenska Ridsportförbundet), the pair had recently enjoyed success at the CSI Hof Waterkant in Pinneberg and now finished ninth in Schnarup-Thumby. Previously, the pair had celebrated victories in the Grand Prix events at Neumünster and Uggerhalne, amongst others, and secured top placings in Gothenburg, Hamburg and Falsterbo, for example.
