Lucas Wenz enjoyed a successful weekend of competition with the two association stallions, United Way and Vigado, at the VR Classics in the Holstenhallen in Neumünster:
United Way by Uriko-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband, Elmshorn), line 1916, first competed in the international opening show jumping class. With a clear round in the 1.45-metre class, Wenz and the now ten-year-old secured seventh place. United Way also put in a very strong performance in Saturday’s World Ranking Show Jumping (video). Finishing in 14th place, it wasn’t quite enough for a placing here, but the pair still collected World Ranking points.
Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles-Quo Vados I (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), line 776, competed in the Youngster Tour. After getting off to a flying start with a clear round, he and Lucas Wenz finished seventh in the second class – his first 1.40-metre course (video). In the final, the pair stepped up their performance once again and secured an excellent fifth place in the competition for seven- and eight-year-old horses.
