At the Azelhof in Belgium, Lucas Wenz, Arne van Heel and Maria Bodega successfully continued their competitive start to 2026:
Cahil by Cornet Obolensky-Contender (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld), line 776, finished fourth with Lucas Wenz in the 1.30-metre class. Chezarro by Casall-Conteur (Gabriele Kowalski, Stadum), line 1298, and Arne van Heel won the final, having previously finished eighth and second respectively.
Deichkind by Don VHP-Limbus (Rasmus Lüneburg, Hetlingen), line 8763, placed in all three classes for six-year-olds with the Spanish rider Maria Bodega – a member of the Holsteiner team since the run-up to last year’s Elite Riding Horse Auction.
Million’s Way by Million Dollar-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH, Elmshorn), line 1916, also shone with three clear rounds under Arne van Heel, as did Charaktervoll HV by Comme il faut-Contendro I (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld), line 474A, under Lucas Wenz. Lucas Wenz also secured a placing in the Youngster Tour with Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles-Quo Vados I (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), Line 776.
To round off the event in style, Lucas Wenz and United Way HV by Uriko-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband, Elmshorn), line 1916, finished fourth in the Grand Prix. Although Keaton HV by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt, Wöhrden), line 4847, and Arne van Heel were denied a place in the jump-off due to two time faults, they still secured a placing in the Grand Prix thanks to their clear round.
