8.71 and 8.64 – these are the weighted final marks, with a focus on jumping, awarded to the five-year-old Holsteiner Association stallions Union City by United Way-Connor (Alf Bartholomäus, Klein Offenseth), line 18A2, and Deichkind by Don VHP-Limbus (Rasmus Lüneburg, Hetlingen), line 8763, completed their sport test in Münster-Handorf.
Union City was awarded a final mark of 8.71. The son of United Way received a mark of 9.0 from the judges on two occasions: both for his ability and for his overall impression. Union City also impressed with his canter and rideability, receiving a score of 8.7 in each category under the saddle of Lucas Wenz. “A stallion who has impressed us here with his responsiveness,” said the judges. “He also scores particularly highly with his generous and light-footed canter.”
Deichkind, a son of Don, returns to Elmshorn with a final score of 8.64. The chestnut shone under Lucas Wenz with excellent rideability, which was rewarded with a score of 9.0. He received an 8.8 for overall impression, with his ability rated at 8.6 and his manner at 8.5. “Deichkind still shows plenty of vigour today and works diligently,” said the judges following the final part of the test, the test under a different rider. “He is always attentive to the rider and focused on the jump, whilst impressing with a well-balanced canter.”
