At the weekend, Arne van Heel and Lucas Wenz enjoyed great success with a number of association stallions at the Springflut Festival in Hörup:
Union City by United Way-Connor (Alf Bartholomäus, Klein Offenseth), line 18A2, impressed across the board in the Future Championship for 5-year-old show jumpers. In the preliminary test, the stallion, ridden by Lucas Wenz, finished third with a score of 8.3. In Friday’s final, he raised his game once again, receiving a score of 8.5 and winning the Future Championship jump-off with the fastest clear round.
The five-year-old Deichkind by Don VHP-Limbus (Rasmus Lüneburg, Hetlingen), line 8763, came second under Arne van Heel in one section of the Class L show jumping test with a score of 8.5. The pair also produced harmonious, clear-round performances (8.4) in the Future Championship final and finished fifth after the jump-off.
Ridden by Lucas Wenz, Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles-Quo Vados I (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), Line 776, and achieved great success, finishing fourth in the M** show jumping on Friday as part of the Youngster Tour and second in the S* show jumping with a jump-off on Saturday.
Riding Keaton HV by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt, Wöhrden), line 4847, Arne van Heel secured fourth place in the VR Bank Nord eG Grand Prix in Hörup, an S*** show jumping competition with a jump-off. In Friday’s S* show jumping competition, Keaton HV finished 17th with a clear round.
United Way by Uriko-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH, Elmshorn), line 1916, had a slight knockdown in the Grand Prix (1.50 metres) and finished twelfth with the fastest ride (4 faults). On Saturday, United Way, ridden by Lucas Wenz, finished 13th in a 1.45-metre show jumping class with just one time penalty.
Arne van Heel also presented the eight-year-old stallion Million’s Way by Million Dollar-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH, Elmshorn), Line 1916, in the Youngster Tour. On Thursday (M*) and Friday (M**), the pair impressed with clear rounds. In the Youngster Tour final, they had one fault at a fence.
