From 21 to 23 March, six stallions from Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH took part in the performance test in Verden. With a weighted final mark of 8.54, with an emphasis on jumping, Deichkind by Don VHP-Limbus (Rasmus Lüneburg, Hetlingen) was among the top performers in the field. His manner was awarded a score of 8.80, whilst the four-year-old received an 8.50 for his ability and rideability.
Chapter by Conthargos-Casall (Gunnar and Annika Lass KG, Leck), who has not yet been licensed by the Holsteiner Verband, also finished the test with a very good score of 8.51. The judges awarded his ability an 8.8. They awarded an 8.6 for his canter and an 8.5 for his overall impression.
Among the five-year-olds, Managing Director Sebastian Rohde entered Zuccarello (by Zuccero out of Uriko; Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH, Elmshorn) into the test. Zuccarello also put in a convincing performance – his manner was rated 8.2. He received a straight ‘Good’ for rideability, ability and temperament. In the end, this resulted in a weighted, jumping-focused final mark of 8.01.
The three four-year-olds – Union City by United Way-Connor (Alf Bartholomäus, Klein Offenseth), Vidalgo by Von Holstein-Singulord Joter (Erja Alohainen, Hollingstedt) and Elmacho by Eldorado v/d Zeshoek-Non Stop (Nico Wilde, BEL-Waarschoot) also passed their tests successfully. Union City’s ability and canter were rated 8.2. The overall mark was 7.95. Vidalgo completed his test with a final mark of 7.62, and Elmacho with 7.77.
