Last weekend, Vigado, Daikon and Zuccarello were entered for the sports test in Verden. In the case of Vigado, a mud fever (scratch) infection had already been diagnosed on the day of departure and he stayed in Elmshorn. Daikon and Zuccarello passed the vet check in Verden and also took part in training in Verden. However, neither stallion showed their usual form, which can also be attributed to a mud fever infection. For this reason, Managing Director Sebastian Rohde decided in consultation with the examination commission and the veterinarian to withdraw both stallions. The plan now is – provided the infection has subsided – for all three stallions to make up for their tests in Münster-Handorf in April.

The test did not go as anticipated for Update. Unfortunately, the stallion was unable to reproduce the performances in Verden that he had shown in training and during the presentation in Neumünster. "Even if Update could not unleash his potential at the sports test, we believe in the quality of this stallion and are giving him time to develop even further," says Sebastian Rohde.
