The challenging series of events for show jumpers aged eight and over at the National Championships culminated in the Grand Prix at S** level, featuring a jump-off. These classes were reserved for horses that had previously competed at the National Championships as yearlings and had since developed successfully. The association-owned stallion Catch by Colman-Calido I (Hans-Peter Löding-Hasenkamp) and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson had already placed third in the qualifying round (S* show jumping) and shone in the Grand Prix with two flawless rounds in both the main round and the jump-off, securing the silver medal.
