Last weekend, Lucas Wenz was back in Baden-Württemberg for a ‘homecoming’ with a number of the association’s stallions. He has now returned to Holstein from the two-star show in Donaueschingen-Immenhöfe with a win and placings in the show jumping:
Riding Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles-Quo Vados I (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), he won a Youngster Tour class and finished ninth in another.
This new partnership bodes well for the future: Wenz competed internationally for the first time with the spirited HV by Comme il faut–Contendro I (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld), line 474A. And the pair finished in fourth place (1.35 metres) and ninth place (1.40 metres) straight away. The association-owned stallion also completed his first World Ranking show jumping competition with just one knockdown.
