At the end of last week, Quibery (by Quintero, out of Hobe Magens, Ottenbüttel) was sold to Lars Forsström of the Swedish stud farm Hippo Essentia. “We have agreed contractually with the new owners that Quibery can be bought back by Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltung GmbH after five years,” reports Managing Director Norbert Boley. “We are very keen to see how his offspring develop; he is still available via TG semen through the Holsteiner Verband’s stallion programme,” Boley added.

The Hippo Essentia stud is a long-standing partner of the Holsteiner Verband, which operates a stallion station in Sweden. Quibery, who, under Bart van der Maat, was crowned Holsteiner State Champion of the Year in 2018 and won the Youngster Tour at the Hamburg Derby, is used as a stud stallion in Sweden.
