The Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH has acquired the eight-year-old Casentos by Casall-Cardento, family 776, from the Witt family in Wellinghusen, thus expanding its stallion roster with a sire of great interest both in terms of sport and breeding. For instance, his second dam Conny I is also the dam of the licensed stallion Cardentos by Cardento (Richard Vogel/GER) as well as of Cajero by Casall (Rene Dittmer/GER). Casentos has already proven himself in sport. Ridden by Marten Witt, the stallion has already been successful up to 1.35 metres.
For the current season, the primary focus for Casentos is his continued sporting development under Arne van Heel. In parallel, EU-approved frozen semen is available with immediate effect.
From the 2027 breeding season, Casentos will also be available to breeders via fresh semen and will take his place in the stallion roster of the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH.
With this acquisition, the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH underlines its endeavour to specifically promote high-performing stallions with outstanding genetics in sport while making them available for Holsteiner breeding in the long term.
