At his own request, Massimo Bonomi, chief trainer at Hengsthaltungs GmbH, is to leave the Holsteiner Verband on 30 June. The Italian-born trainer has enjoyed some great successes with the association’s stallions. For example, with Keaton, when the pair finished sixth in last year’s Bundeschampionat final in Warendorf.
Sebastian Rohde is already on the lookout for a suitable successor. “This personnel decision needs to be carefully considered and well thought through,” says the managing director. “We are in the fortunate position that the training of the stallions will continue to be ensured, as we have very reliable and talented younger riders in the team,” Rohde continued. “We wish Massimo Bonomi all the best for his future career.”
