Since the end of 2020, the association stallion Clarksville by Cascadello-Canto (breeder: Norbert Frings, Itzehoe), lineage 318D2, has been in training at the yard of Olympic champion Isabell Werth. During a visit by managing director Sebastian Rohde alongside board members Dr. Maximilian Slawinski and Jürgen Schaffner in Rheinberg, the nine-time world champion reported on the stallion's progress.

"Clarksville is finding it increasingly easy to manage his body now," Werth expressed with delight regarding the bay, who is affectionately called "Clarki" around the stables. "He has settled in. A horse with such tremendous movement benefits from the increased carrying power he has developed over the past few months. He is already significantly more coordinated, performs secure traversals and shows great talent for piaffe and passage." The large-framed bay and Isabell Werth demonstrated this impressively and with ease during a training session.

Nothing stands in the way of a competition debut as soon as individual movements and transitions become even more effortless. Together with her long-time rider Niklaas Feilzer, she is working on the fine-tuning. "That simply takes time and patience," Werth acknowledges. She has high hopes for the former Holstein regional champion: "I am firmly convinced that Clarksville will become a Grand Prix horse. He has the complete package – basic gaits, soundness, conformation, presence – for a career in the grand arena."

Managing director Sebastian Rohde was equally pleased with Clarksville's development since his last visit to Rheinberg: "I am delighted that a world-class rider like Isabell Werth likes our stallion so much and looks to the future with optimism. I am looking forward to seeing the two of them again soon."
