The Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH has excellent news to report these days: the Cornet Obolensky son Crack is now 100 per cent owned by the Holsteiner Verband.
Things were quieter for Crack this year. He continued to be trained and developed in Elmshorn while remaining available to breeders with fresh semen. An offer that was very well received. Crack will remain in Elmshorn until February before returning to Hofgut Dagobertshausen (Marburg) to continue his sport career with Richard Vogel, who will be spending the winter months at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington (Florida).

The success story of the impressive grey stallion began in 2017 at the Neumünster licensing, which Crack left with a positive licensing verdict. This was followed by confident victories in his sport test in Verden and in young show jumping horse classes. In 2021, the Cornet Obolensky-Candillo son bred by Gestúts Campos Cria de Caballos de Deporte (Spain) first jumped to the title of Holsteiner State Champion under Maximilian Gräfe before being crowned Federal Champion of six-year-old show jumpers in Warendorf just a few weeks later – then partnered with Richard Vogel.
"We are very pleased that we were able to secure such a rideable, talented stallion with great willingness to perform, equipped with so much scope, for our breeders with Crack. Furthermore, in Richard Vogel we have found a rider for Crack who can take him into top-level sport. We are looking forward to the future," said stallion keeping managing director Sebastian Rohde, visibly satisfied.
