Last week and this coming week, Lucas Wenz and Arne van Heel have been and are currently competing at shows in Belgium with a number of association stallions. They started off in Bonheiden – and were very successful:
In the Youngster Tour for five- and six-year-olds, the two five-year-old association stallions shone with nothing but clear-round performances. Union City by United Way-Connor (Alf Bartholomäus, Klein Offenseth), line 18A2, went on to finish fifth in the final under Lucas Wenz. Arne van Heel rode Deichkind by Don VHP-Limbus (Rasmus Lüneburg, Hetlingen), line 8763, to seventh place in the final and secured two further placings in the tour.
In the 1.40-metre Youngster Tour, Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles-Quo Vados I (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), line 776, and Lucas Wenz took an excellent second place. Charaktervoll HV by Comme il faut–Contendro I (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld), line 474A, finished twelfth with Wenz in a 1.45-metre show jumping class.
Keaton HV by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt, Wöhrden), line 4847, also showed himself to be in very good form under Arne van Heel: he finished fifth in the Grand Prix over 1.45 metres with a jump-off.
The action now moves on to Lier, where Lucas Wenz will be presenting Charaktervoll HV and United Way, as well as Corfu de la Vie by Cumano-Lord (Haras de la Vie/BEL). Also competing in Lier under the saddle of Arne van Heel are Million’s Way by Million Dollar-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH, Elmshorn), line 1916, and Keaton HV.
