This weekend, Bad Segeberg is hosting the Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg State Dressage and Show Jumping Championships, and the State Riding Horse Championships also took place there in a fitting setting – with the association’s stallion Fidano by Fidertanz-Silvano (ZG Pflügler & Ahrens, Weddingstedt), line 776, a worthy winner. Kimberly Kühl presented the four-year-old, and the pair won the class with an overall mark of 8.7.
With individual marks of 8.0 for the trot, 9.0 for the canter, 8.5 for the walk, and 9.0 each for training and overall impression, the judging panel placed the pair at the top of the rankings. Last year, the black-bay horse and Kimberly Kühl had already danced their way to victory in the Holstein State Championships: “Fidano is a real fighter who is always ready to perform and easy to ride,” said his rider happily. In autumn 2020, Fidano then completed his 50-day test in Schlieckau, finishing with a weighted final mark of 8.35 – with a focus on dressage – placing him fourth out of a total of 37 stallions. Just last week, with Kühl in the saddle, he won a riding horse class.
