This week, several association stallions are set to compete in international or national competitions in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Neumünster.
The European Team Champion Zuccero HV by Zirocco Blue-Caretino (Hanno Köhncke, Badendorf), line 4539, and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson have already arrived safely in Abu Dhabi. There, they will be competing for Sweden in the new Nations Cup series, the ‘League of Nations’. At the first leg in Abu Dhabi, the world’s top ten teams will compete against one another. The newly structured series, with €700,000 in prize money per leg and €1.6 million in prize money for the final in Barcelona, aims to combine the traditions of the past with the excitement of modern sport, it is said.
Jayke Junge and Lucas Wenz are competing at the competition in the Holstenhallen in Neumünster with eight association stallions: On Thursday 8 February, Cahil by Cornet Obolensky-Contender (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld), line 776, and Million’s Way by Million Dollar-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH, Elmshorn), line 1916, as well as United Way by Uriko-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband, Elmshorn), line 1916, will compete in a Class M* show jumping competition at 2.00 pm.
On Friday, 9 February, Dilaro by Dinken-Casall (Johann Hermann Claussen, Neuenkirchen), line 3389, and Daikon by Dominator Z-Cassini I (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld), line 18A2, are scheduled to compete in an L-class show jumping class at 1.00 pm.
Chezarro by Casall-Conteur (Gabriele Kowalski, Stadum), line 1298, will open the competition on Saturday (10 February) at 08:00 with an M* show jumping class and is entered for the M** show jumping class at 10:30. In the M* show jumping at 12.00, spectators can then see United Way by Uriko-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband, Elmshorn), line 1916, as well as Del’Arko d’Henvet by Tsunami de Hus. Both will then also compete in the M** show jumping at 15:30. Corfu de la Vie by Cumano-Lord (Haras de la Vie/BEL), line 741, is scheduled to compete in the S* show jumping with jump-off at 7.30 pm.
