CHIO Aachen: Offspring of association stallions shine

In the Aachen Soers, the offspring of association stallions drew attention to themselves in numerous demanding courses:

In the Preis von Europa over 1.60 metres, Martin Fuchs (SUI) could once again rely on his Conner JEI: the Connor son (dam's sire Cosimo, Gerhard Stamer, Duvensee), stamm 8778, jumped clear in both the first round and the jump-off to take third position. Conner JEI had previously helped his rider from Switzerland to numerous victories at the highest level, most recently for example in the 1.60-metre Grand Prix of Windsor (GBR) or also in front of a home crowd in St. Gallen (SUI) last year. Corsica by Connor-Corofino II (Erich Westphal, Stipsdorf), stamm 4564, secured second place for Rene Dittmer (GER) in a 1.45-metre speed class. The ten-year-old mare has done everything right in her young career so far: in 2020 she became Holsteiner champion mare in Elmshorn with Marten Witt in the saddle and can now boast placings up to 1.60-metre level, most recently in Sopot (POL) or also Hamburg and Hagen.

Dinken sired Dax (Dirk Georg Jessen, Jardelund), stamm 8793, last year's Bundeschampion of six-year-old show jumpers under Richard Vogel. The chestnut jumped at lightning speed to victory in Warendorf and now triumphed under Vogel's business partner David Will in the Soers in the Youngsters Cup, where the gelding out of a Corrado I dam jumped to victory in the 1.40-metre class for seven-year-olds. The Casall son Cognac EB (dam's sire Quantum, Lvp Stables, Gent), stamm 275, also took fourth and fifth places in this young horse tour with Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (ESP) in the class for eight-year-olds.

The Casall daughter Callas (dam's sire Coriano, Jürgen Böge, Bunsoh), stamm 7492, jumped two clear rounds with McLain Ward in the Nations Cup, contributing significantly to fourth place for the US team. "A modern, quick horse with outstanding reflexes," was said about Callas at the World Cup leg in Fort Worth (USA), where the former Holsteiner auction horse took second place in the 250,000 US dollar-endowed class. The Frenchwoman Meganne Moisonnier was also overjoyed with the result of her Casall offspring Cordial: the stallion out of a Chicago Z dam (Hans Hermann Gempf, Stelle) stamm 325, also remained without a knockdown over two rounds in the Nations Cup.

Celtas Quilian is by Uriko and competes under the Finnish flag. In the Young Riders Tour, he took sixth and third places on the hallowed turf. He has already recorded several victories this year, for example in Lier (BEL), Pärnu (EST) and Drammen (NOR).

Dante MM by Diarado placed seventh with Alain Jufer (SUI) in a 1.60-metre class and was tenth in the Preis von Nordrhein-Westfalen. The bay had already caught the eye with top placings in high-endowed classes in St. Gallen (SUI) and Arezzo (ITA). The Diarado son Dexter Fontenis also finished seventh in the Grand Prix of Aachen. The Frenchman Simon Delestre was in the saddle of the black horse, who recently jumped to third position in the 1.60-metre Grand Prix in St. Tropez and won another 1.55-metre class at the Global Champions Tour leg.
