At the end of the year, the Holsteiner Association stallion Catch will move to his new home in America. Following his many successes in show jumping up to 1.50 metres – most recently, Catch attracted attention with a second place in the Warendorf Grand Prix at the Bundeschampionat – there were several enquiries about the nine-year-old.

The son of Colman-Calido I, bred by Hans-Peter Löding-Hasenkamp (Quarnstedt), began his career at the 2015 Neumünster licensing, where he was named reserve champion of his age group. Under Ebba Johansson (SWE), Catch was crowned Holsteiner Regional Champion as a four-year-old and, as a five- and six-year-old, won numerous young horse classes with Maximilian Gräfe. Two years ago, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (SWE) took over his further training and developed him to international level. The pair achieved placings at events including Deurne (NED), Herning (DEN) and Mannheim. “In the two years that Catch was with us at the stables, he has developed very well. He is an easy-to-ride, capable and careful horse who always performs very well on the course. I wish him and his new rider every success and a happy future,” said Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.

At the end of the year, Catch will set off for his new home, where he will remain a stallion. Until then, he will remain in Elmshorn, and sufficient TG semen will be produced so that Holsteiner breeders can continue to utilise his genetics in the future.
