After Catch by Colman-Calido I (Hans-Peter Löding-Hasenkamp, Quarnstedt), line 890, had achieved excellent placings – second and third – over 1.40 metres in Herning just last week, the grey horse recorded yet another success this weekend: In Jönköping, Sweden, he and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson emerged victorious in the 1.45-metre show jumping class.

Bengtsson had introduced Catch to international competition gradually. “I enjoy doing that – giving horses time to develop the confidence needed for bigger challenges,” the Swede had said at the start of the year during the presentation of the association’s stallions. In 2021, for example, the pair won in Falsterbo (SWE) and achieved top placings at international level in Kronenberg (NED) and Lastrup (GER).
