As the situation regarding herpes in the country has largely stabilised, we will resume regular insemination at the Holsteiner Verband’s breeding stations from Easter Monday.
It will then no longer be mandatory for mares to be vaccinated against herpes in order to be stabled at the stations. Naturally, the stations will continue to ensure the safety of your mares at our facilities by implementing individual hygiene protocols, checking the health status of the mares’ herds of origin, and carrying out a clinical examination of the mare upon arrival.
In the interests of everyone, the aim is that, despite the relaxed admission conditions, you will please continue to ensure that you only bring completely healthy mares from completely healthy herds of origin to the stations, so that you receive a completely healthy mare back once insemination has been carried out.
